i think i just didnt consider it. it would be easy to add support for the analog pins, they're PCMSK1. i ought to go and finish up that library... smiley-sad

if someone has the time to implement all these changes, they will be wrapped into the project

I think that the software page for arduino should remind the user to install the latest FTDI driver, perhaps with a link to the driver

Also, the Arduino 009 software should warn the user if the serial port isnt selected. Ie. the first time it starts, if you hit "upload" it should pop up a dialog that says "You haven't selected a serial port that the Arduino is connected to!" Or if you plug in a different arduino.

I can do the first one if there's some way to get a wiki login. I can also do the second one if you're busy.

hey zach.. i hacked this up a bit ago, it just looks if the first character is '0'

you may want to modify it a bit

etracer, can you post up a .sit or .dmg of your patched v13? if so, i can host it on ladyada.net...let me know, otherwise i will put it on my todo list smiley

the 'hack' etracer added will resolve it as long as those are the registers used. the compiler can pick nearly any registers so in some cases it will still break.

the bug in v13 really needs to be fixed for NSS (and nearly any arduino code with interrupts) to work perfectly all the time
ive poked dmellis about it but hes probably quite busy & i didn't get a date for when it will be fixed smiley-sad

well, to be specific, it should work under any 328p
-however- the interrupt bug in v13 is not resolved so there may be freaky experiences.
24  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Development / Re: NewSoftSerial Library: An AFSoftSerial update on: February 18, 2009, 03:58:28 pm
i fixed a small bug in the interrupt names that was giving 328's a 'compiles but freaks' problem
also made the examples folder a little neater
otherwise, works very nicely with 1 GPS module under v13 ide on windows and mac osx tested with 168 and 328p

there is no such thing as an internal pulldown
there is only an internal pullup
your arduino is fine, the input is floating, and when you touch it, the bodys capacitance changes the values. this is completely normal
28  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Troubleshooting / Re: Boarduino Analog Input problem on: June 28, 2008, 02:28:05 pm
yup this is true of all arduinos & clones: digital input '0' is not pin 0 but in fact, pin 1. The analog input #'s are different than pin numbers. while its confusing for people who are used to dealing with pins it does mean that if the Arduino goes to a different chip the numbers can stay the same. note, however, the pin/numbering scheme is the same for the Boarduino as it is for the Arduino

you can use this to see the matching numbers

you need to use
+5V
ground
rx and tx
try swapping rx/tx also, in case its a labeling issue.
dont swap +5v and ground tho smiley-wink

i ordered them from Adafruit.com which is supposed to be an "official"
distributer for arduino-chips.....

mm, i sell arduinos but there is no such thing as an official distributor for "arduino chips"
i sell arduino bootloader-compatible chips
http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=19&products_id=56

regardless, ive been using these chips no problem for a while but there's certainly a chance you got bad ones. if you send mail to support@adafruit.com i can arrange to have them replaced.
