Chemicals? LCD display? uController? WiFi?
This is potentially the second most over engineered bugzapper I have ever heard of. First place ofcourse forever belongs to the "photonic fence" based on Star Wars tech to shoot the suckers with a laser.

That is the most elegant solution to this type of triggering I have ever seen. Well done. I am totally copying it for future reference.

Not actually arduino but I like playing with Scopeshapes http://sourceforge.net/projects/scopeshapes/. It's windose but runs fine under Wine.

There is a part of me (my feminist side) that finds such targeting condescending...

I agree but at least it isn't pink.

I've never heard of this joke before but as soon as I saw the board I laughed and laughed, it's hilarious.
As an "oldie" I feel an microcontroller is a little bit overkill for the flashing though as a good ol' 555 would've done just fine. in fact with a few added components and a 556 it should be quite possible to get some cute random actions into the circuit while getting the impressionfactor up a bit.

I like that you used a ZIF-socket.

Sweet job! Loving it. But you've put "Smart Mobile Platform" in the abstract. No biggie.

Sweet!
This is exactly what I was looking for since I just found my old LCD pocket television from the 90's.
Thanks!

I think so to. Don't remember how big the ATmega168 CPU is but it might work better on a later model with more memory.

It looks really neat but as the previous speaker I am somewhat mystified. Enlighten me. smiley-draw
