Hi to all,

Because of my robot project, I created a simple library for H bridges like the L293, you can get the library from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5218310/arduino/L29x.zip

This is my first Arduino library, if you have suggestions, please leave them in this topic. Thank you.

L29x Arduino Library
--------------------
This is a library to simplify the use of H bridges in you sketches. You
need to configure the Arduino pins that are connected to the H bridge
according to their functions.

For example we connect an L293 driving two motors to the Arduino Uno.
This are the pins used:

L293 ------------- Arduino
--------------------------
1,2EN ------------ 2
1A --------------- 3 (PWM)
2A --------------- 4
3,4EN ------------ 6 (PWM)
3A --------------- 7
4A --------------- 8

We start declaring the two motors:

L29x motorOne(3, 2, 4);
L29x motorTwo(6, 7, 8);

That's it for the setup part. Then we use the methods available:

stop() - 1,2A with zero, 1A and 2A LOW
rotPos(byte pwm) - 1,2A with PWM, 1A LOW and 2A HIGH
rotNeg(byte pwm) - 1,2A with PWM, 1A HIGH and 2A LOW

For example, to start the motors fast in one direction:

motorOne.rotPos(255);
motorTwo.rotPos(255);

To stop both motors:

motorOne.stop();
motorTwo.stop();

That's it, I hope you find this library useful in your own sketches.

Hi to all,

With a simple test I verified the final size for the web server example for the ethernet library for the 3 compilers.

From this simple test for a specific library the increase of size was almost 50%.

This isn't good but I believe that the Arduino team will address this problems. In the meanwhile I will use the 0023 and 1.0 IDE for my programs.

Entrei no mundo do Arduino recentemente e é com agrado que encontro uma comunidade de língua portuguesa no site oficial.

Espero ter oportunidade de aprender bastante sobre Arduino por aqui e também fazer as minhas contribuições.

I never though it could be a fake Arduino since it was bought in a "official" seller mentioned on the arduino.cc page, just a different board revision.

The strange thing is that on the official arduino.cc page doesn't mention anything about this change and I think it should be public like everything else is.

@biocow: From what I can see, I don't find any difference between the bottom of my board and the image on the site, but I am not an expert.

@PaulS: It works rather well. It's my first Arduino board and all the example sketches from several tutorials work and my own sketches work without problems.

Is this a new revision of the Arduino board? I bought it last week from a seller here in Portugal and listed in the Arduino site.

Hi to all,

I suppose I don´t have a hardware problem but my Arduino Uno board is different from the one on the site and several other sites that sell it. Some components are missing but they don´t seem to have fell off.
