repeat the measurements. One wire have to have equal R to other wires, that's common one (5th). Others 2R to each other.   It also can be 5phase motor with different schematics.

 and i've found what i want from next arduino.

Same inteface to upload sketch. Different USB port to program to.
That's not too much, isn't it? smiley-wink

if you not changed PID of device you have to use the same driver (within WIN$) and same registry entry. Deinstall all related, install once more, or install on fresh system, that's the only way to user to find out if the product ID was changed. Or set up some software to query/poll your USB devices & rewrite the registry

Yoshi,
let me show you something:

there is a link to  serial->midi script i had to write to for OSX.

domo arigato for the software, but why do you mention Uno only? Serial communication is mostly the same for all arduino, and, if there will be native MIDI port with soft serial it will be nice for macos (and even windows) users too, isn't it?

Looks like you need MProg utility from http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm

or newer software there i've never used. MProg works, and changes device string. If you will change VID/PID by yourself nothing will happen, you will just loose the driver & connection to MProg. Fun, isn't it? I did so and had to play with .inf files and registry to get control back.
Good news - same utility changes the value of power requested by USB device which may be handy.

Hello admins,
It would be nice to continue some discussions on accordion project i'm still working on (thanks a lot for mentioning it in the blog!)
Should i repeat post in new forum?

Looks like I solved this proglem some time ago, read here

Hello, arduiners!

I'm quite close to finish accordion project

Hope someone will find it interesting.

check the schematics of your Mega, read which port you want to use, then initialize pins with something like

// PortF as left input and turn on pullup resistors
  DDRF = B00000000;
  PORTF = B11111111;

Then just read PORTF  (or PORTX you want to use).

Pin/port numbers are written in reference design schematics, or, atmega chip datasheet.

I'm not, as you saw i've used very old one just from the shed.
With some care you can add midi functionality to working one, but it may look little crazy with live accordion sound + piano or whatever comes from computer. It's not an issue if you play in a band and sit close to drummer on stage like i am smiley-wink

Yes, with some changes in code to read more bytes from right hand. (right now 41 fits in 6 bytes:  5bytes + one bit, you will need to use one more byte)

so, You send a sequence of midi commands from SD card? come on, write  that MIDI commands one by one to the flash and increase the address with a counter. Why to bother arduino?
