You may run into amerage problem just slice a usb cable and attach it to a 5 volt regulartor form rdio shack and you can put up to 10 3v coin cells but as long as it is under 35 volts the regulartor will regulate it to a even 5 volts i use it for my array of jumbo leds.

I think a cheaper way would be to just go get a webcam, but thank you a lot for contributing to the Forum we need these crazy ideas to come in.After the crazy idea comes in the senior memebr can help kinda mold it and probally improve it why can the older memebers just be more supportive. :smiley

2 pin are ground it normally the 2 on the bottom just pull up the data sheet for it.also make sure you are supplying the right voltage for it it it 3,5,9, im not very familer with that third party arduinio but im sure there is 2 ground pin for 2 dif. powers.

Its super easy you can use a micro 5vdc or if its under 25 vdc you can use a transitor but if it need high amp youll need to use a 9vdc relay along side a 5 vdc transitor.
9  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Interfacing / Re: 3G Interfacing on: December 19, 2010, 10:40:35 pm
You would have probs. with that because you have to have the drives and normally you have to install a software but you may be able to take apart the software for the data while useing the usb shield.

ive used a simular wifi shield with very much luch but if you have more than one arduinios you can go cheaper and more veritile and just get your self a couple of xbee wireless stuff witch is better but i had much sucess accessing ym robotics controls made in java studio online to pilot it i went ahead and and used the wireless transmitter that came with my ip cam and just ran a second window.
11  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Interfacing / Re: Best Method to Connect two or more Arduino's? on: December 19, 2010, 06:47:20 pm
if you just trying to be right next to each other you need to try to do it over basic serial if you can if not you will have to dedicate a few pins for data. if you just want to make it easy just get some XBee wirless stuff and make a mesh network. But if you just that good with visual basic for windows you can make your own data swapign network ill look in to the usb shield form that.
