Actually, no

but I did salvage a microwave that had a schematic in the bottom for the repair man

I like that you attached the schem onto the project

I'd suggest putting it on the reverse side though

Also, looks slick, better than the store bought ones

Earlier this year I went to RS and got exactly what I wanted

Course I was looking for a cell phone accessory (car charger smiley-razz)

I also walked out with tips for my Weller Soldering Gun

Thanks for the help, sorry for the delay in answering, the forums did that weird thing where it appends ?token=<string> to the end of the URL and after that I'd come by and refresh the page every now and then but never took the time to troubleshoot why it wasn't loading...

Yea, I already knew I didn't want to do an infinite loop, I figured out what I needed to do, and no, loop() was not it smiley-razz

It's rough jumping from something as easy as Arduino into a mid-level complex project on something that works extremely differently

Well, yea

Send those parts to me smiley-razz

(also, you could start sorting as you buy, that way you just dump baggie A into Bin A)

I wish I had the space to sort, right now I have two boxes that I dump everything in...

That's what I figured it was... send them a big fat "diddle off"

They'd never win in court, I believe in this case they would have to come to a court you pick...
37  Community / Bar Sport / Equivilant of loop() in Objective-C? on: September 04, 2011, 07:10:45 pm
So, I'm trying to make a little Objective-C program real quick (lol been working on this for like six hours now :/), with little to no knowledge of Objective-C

I get that viewDidLoad (iPhone) and awakeFromNib (OS X) are the equivalent of Setup(), but no amount of Googling will reveal what the equivalent of Loop() is...

While it's fun to make apps that do their thing once, and then take their toys and go home, it's not exactly... useful.... to make a notification system that the user has to close and reopen the app for to get the notification telling them something's gone wrong... when opening the app would require them to be AT the computer something went wrong... thus knowing there was a problem anyway... lol smiley-sad

Rugged, you realize you could sort them? Take an afternoon (or 10) to sort them into drawers

Two things:

Did you check to see if the code had actually been deleted from the website?

Possibly it's someone who is trademark trolling, or whatever it's called... patent trolling I think

It's when someone makes a bunch of patents/trademarks and then goes around suing people all day long, most people just settle, thus free money

Years ago San Francisco (I think) was using trolly cars that ran off of Super Capacitors, it'd make a short 15 minute run then stop to recharge
42  Community / Bar Sport / Re: Google Plus! on: July 29, 2011, 03:52:37 pm

IMO, Facebook succeeded because it attracted significant cross-generational socializing (whereas myspace and linkedin had more specific age-groups associated with them.)

I agrea with that. The reason why I started using facebook is becouse my mother and grandmother use it...
Initially it may have succeeded on other grounds, but now the cross-generation aspect is probably one of the strongest thing it has going for it.

Oh yea, I agree with that too, I meant the reason it beat MySpace...
43  Community / Bar Sport / Re: Google Plus! on: July 28, 2011, 04:28:57 pm
I think FB suceeded at first because it was exclusive to college students (well first harvard students but whatever) and so people who wanted to avoid grade school kids could use it, back then no ones mom was on Myspace, so they really didn't need to avoid that...

Is there any particular reason he wears the suit in the nude? Not sure I'd want to wear it after any sort of conference unless lots of booze was served
