1  Using Arduino / Displays / Arduino tft lcd screen-Loading several images-How do I do it correct? on: June 28, 2013, 09:20:28 am
Hi!

Im having difficulties loading an displaying images on the screen. I can write one image to the screen but how do I change between images i.e. by pressing a button (I have an Esplora)? Do I load them individually in the setup and just call them in the loop? I like to have 4 images connected to the buttons on the Esplora displaying different images. Suggestions on how to perform it? Is it possible?

The answer from Massimo:

"I don't have code ready to share about it but if you create a loop that reads all the analog inputs, Print them using Keyboard.print and after each number use Keyboard.press to generate a TAB key. once you reach the last number you can "press" enter and the cursor will go to the next row back to the first cell..
I works with google spreadsheet.

"
I haven't tried it yet...

Hmm...

I tried Gobetwino ages ago, didn't work then but haven't tried later. The example by zeveland might do the trick but I think I send the question to Massimo( "An lazy example code"- let the arduino type in its own datavalues)

Hi!

I just watched the video were Massimo presents the Leonardo Board and Im now in search for an example project that let you incorporate Arduino data directly into Excelsheets, as he states in the video. Any ideas? Examples?

In my project I would like LM 35 temperature data to be logged into Excel as a first test.I have tried CSV files and SD cards before but now I want to logg data and graph it live as data streams into Excel.

Suggestions?

I will do that when I have the whole project finished. Im taking pictures (hardwarestuff) and saving code, both errors and the code that is functional. That is one of the fun things with this... show others (ask...) and get feedback. Redo and do the finetunings....

Well you all know... Ill keep you posted!

Great help with the Processing CreateWrite() function...works great! Open in Excel when you save it as .csv file...Nice. Simple and I think... what I wanted. Now back to work...

Hi!
Thanks for the response. I will try both the code and SELMADAQ shareware. The CSV looks promising I will send only 10 values at each timepoint so its not a huge amount of data. 288 timepoints...Piece of cake...

Would Processing be capable of saving the data in CSV format? I know how to read serial in Processing but not how to save files ... Becauce then I could plot it in Processing and save the file for later viewing...?

Hi!

Im rather new to the Arduino plattform and searching for a simple way to get data from the Arduino into Excel for later processing of the data... How do I do it?

Every suggestion welcomed. I´ve search on the web but so far I haven´t found anything...just a few comment about reading serial and pass it that way but exactly how do I do it?. In the Arduino software and in Excel. Or is it easier to plot it in Processing? ...as in the tutorial files

Problem solved?

Reading reading...TADA!!!! The cellphone connection software might interfered...turned it off, now i can uppload to the I/O board....although the green LED at pin 13(the small onehas similar glow) is not green but yellowish(due to low power?) I still need to know about the middle pin on the black box next to the "EXT" power....Is it the cause of the yellowish glow ?

..but at least I thought Santa had been tampering with my computer this morning  when I turned it on and the Arduino seemed to work smiley

I hope he will bring me the soldout(?) breadboard on Christmas day....so I could start working with my projects...

More info: Downloaded version 00010. And then the program says:

hmm... "L" +13 LED still blinking..."Blink"seems to work but i cant stop it?hmm and inpected the board once again..should the middle pin on the black box next to the"EXT" power be broken off? lets check some pictures...doesn´t show that good...hmm Can someone tell me what´s wrong? should the middle pin be broken off?

Hi!

I installed the software. Found the drivers but didn´t get the installation wizard. I´ve done the setting part of the software and compiled "blink" and upploaded to I/O: LED at pin 13 (Arduino Diecimila)  Result: two blinking LED (PWR clear steady green) and the small (L) blinking in perfect sync. Tried to reset stop...etc nothing seems to work...

What to do?  Need help!!!!!

13  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Interfacing / Arduino+ Logomatic v01. on: September 06, 2008, 08:03:37 pm
Hi!

Im trying to find information on how to connect and program the Arduino to get it working with the data logger Logomatic v.01. So far I have just found the discrete datalogger project in "Instructables". Have anyone seen or used the datalogger with the Arduino in some other project? Temperature logging ? Information on testcode and how to connect the two are much wanted (for a start I just want it to write to the SD card. Im still new on this "logging" thing).

Point taken, You need easy access to the pins....Yes you do...
I just got the "Making things talk" book and that gave me som nice ideas about casing (Household boxes ,pencilcases and others...)

Right now Im thinking of ordering some Brabantia household canisters(with see-through plastic on the front)http://www.brabantia.com/Index.php?page_id=17&base_group=20757&group=20761 and turning them inte small Arduino "reactors" with LED lighting inside.

Update on the survey:

So far we got:

One Altoid tin box(Steampunk design)
ZIF-sockets (Contemporary?)
A plastic case for cotton balls smiley(Readymade design)
...and a anti static bag(minimalistic style)

What no STEALTH designs?(Military style, with nonradar detected analog pins) No flyfishing boxes?(Outdoor style..,Yes with a Swiss army knife included) Plexiglas?(industrial-style) Ceramics?  Pottery?(Ethnic style) A SPAM container might work? (pop-art style)

"The Arduino...It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments. "

I want/like to see some fancy stuff, weird or blingbling...Artists,designers and Hobbits be creative! I really want to see the ultimate Arduino shell/box/housing...

Not just new fancy PCB s (although I like those just as much(functional style))
