Thank you very much! I'm only a student, but I will talk to my teacher.
There is another question: we have the "USB to serial" line. can we use it to transform the serial to USB?    If it is possible we will try to make the serial Board.  If we find it is easy and there is many student want to join us we will set up the workshop by ourself ,but not by school, because in China many people prefer to "8051" rather than "AVR" ,and they prefer to "make production"  rather than "play with examination" ,   our teacher maybe not agree with us smiley-sad

Hi!  I sorry about my poor English , I'm a Chinese student at http://www.xmu.edu.cn/english/index.htm.
We very want some " usb I/O Board "   Is there a way we can buy it ?  we only need the naked board . Do you want to set a workshop in China? Maybe that is difficulty?   If this project is for education , 5 Eur maybe too expensive for us ,could be lower ?    Think you very much!

Hi!
I see "A lot of the so called "shields" are used in our commercial projects and are working"

Is it means that some shields no open source?
Could we use them in our play project(no commercial projects ) ?

and could you tell me which software you uesd to design the board? I don't know how to open ".brd" ,and how to chang it to Gerber file ?

thank you !

Thank you !
Do you make some "Motor Control v1.1" board?
Is it test well to use?
57  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Frequently-Asked Questions / Is there a mistake at "Motor Control v1.1&quo on: January 23, 2006, 10:48:12 am
Hi!
I see the "Motor Control v1.1" in the test , and there is a Partlist : http://webzone.k3.mah.se/k3dacu/arduino/shields/motor_control/motor_control_v1_partlist.txt ,I found "IC3   L293E   DIL16  texas  1" , but I found this Data Sheet of L293E (http://www.st.com/stonline/books/pdf/docs/1328.pdf) and L293E is " POWERDIP(16+2+2) " not 16 .

So I buy a "L293D" instead , the Data Sheet of "L293D" : http://www.st.com/stonline/books/pdf/docs/1330.pdf . Is it OK ?  And I want to make sure that is there a mistake at "Motor Control v1.1" or a mistake at "Partlist" , but I see the PCB , it's "DIL16" , could I use "L293D" instead ? Thank you !

59  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Frequently-Asked Questions / how to set the bootloader waiting time? on: January 20, 2006, 03:14:59 am
Hi ! sorry about my English , it isn't my mother tongue   smiley-sad

"bootloader will run for five seconds waiting for a program to be uploaded through the port"

but when I had download the program , and begin to use this borad , this "five seconds" waiting make me a little worry, is there someway to set this waiting time ? or is there a way to make the board run my program at once?

for example, could we do some change to bootloader,  when press the reset button , the LED between pin 13 and ground you will see it blinking(set the blinking time longer, about 1s),

when it blinking ,
if you press the reset button again, then enter the "program mode" , bootloader will run for five seconds waiting for a program to be uploaded through the port.
if you didn't do the secondly press, when blinking time over, the board will run my program at once.

Is it possbile?
