1  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / Connect Arduino to a nokia audio line in on: February 16, 2011, 07:38:06 am
Hi there!

I would like to use my arduino as a nokia headsets connected to a nokia phone.
The propose of that is to use the ability of send and receive audio while calling to someone without program anything to the phone.

My doubt is what the max voltage a could apply to nokia audio "line in" without burn anything inside.

Thank you so much!

Best regards

2 years ago, i started a new topic with this name asking if someone knew if it is possible!

Now! i'm come back to telling you this is possible!

I posted it ,It might be usefull to someone, hope you enjoy:

Both!!!!  ;D

I gonna try to explain my question.

i have a micro car remote controlled. it's very simple, just 4 push buttons to control 2 little motors. i disconnect the 4 wires of this remote control circuit, unless the wires of the batteries.

Now what a want it to reUse that circuit for my own projects. what i have done??? i just use the multimeter to check what is the difference between the voltage without any button pressed and the voltage with the button pressed. i checked a little variation.

i want to use my arduino as a bridge from the remote control to my project.

i didn't think in PWN because what i have measured is the voltage to control the motor, after it pass through all the circuit.

thanks a lot

i'm testing a radio waves remote control with a voltimeter to see what happens when a push a button on the control and i saw voltage drops down 0,4v when i push it.

when i'm trying do the same with the analog port of arduino i can't understand where is the variation becauce it is always oscillating with no constant value.

what i'm doing wrong? how can i measure voltage on the analog port as a voltimeter do???

Thanks a lot...

oh it was just a test i made to see what value i got... and when a i saw that oscillation i was worried thinking my arduino is crashed or something like that

thanks for the explanation

i'm noob with analogic electronics....
can anyone answer those questions?
why do i get large oscillation values from any analog port even though it isn't linked to any circuit'???
are there any diference between the analogRead and the voltimeter values????

Anyone knows about any project of neurofeedback with the arduino board. (EEG)

i saw an opensource eeg project here

and the circuit use atmega8 so i think may be it is possible to use with arduino. who knows...

please report if someone knows about that

Arduino has a ftdi driver to convert from usb into serial, isn't right????

if i connect my phone directly into arduino usb jack, it may work!!!

As i already posted here, i can communicate through a COM port, i think i just need a usb to serial converter.

can the ftdi driver do that work for me????

yes, i did... but:

i have this code in my python program:

conn = pys60usb.USBConnection()

that my arduino does not understand.

i need to check out what this functions are doing, or what response they need..

i have a python app to communicate through cable.

i test it with windows hyperTerminal in COM3, and works!!!!! it gets all strings incoming from the mobile phone...

but when i try to link to arduino it can't connect...

i would like to connect my nokia n70 directly to arduino through nokia cable..

i think i need to emulate nokia cable drivers in arduino. How can i do this???

can anyone helps me???

i'm trying to do this a couple months ago but with no success..

you have this cheap BT module. u also have data-sheet and manual...

good luck

I'm thinking about if there is a way to connect a bluetooth module i already have to arduino diecimila. If it's possible, how do i can do that???? my idea is to connect it to the usb port and rewrite a new bootloader, but is just an crazy idea...  smiley-grin

My module is from RoboTech BT serial module RBT-001 and pinout is:

o  1 -> Voltage input(3v)
o  2 -> RX
o  3 -> TX
o  4 -> RTS(Serial port request to send)
o  5 -> CTS(serial port clear to send)
o  6 -> GRD

4 and 5 pin number make me worried cause i donĀ“t know what i have to do with them.

here is a link to the module:
