1  Topics / Education and Teaching / Mike McRoberts - Beginning Arduino on: December 08, 2011, 02:05:33 am
I bought a book by this author and found that he has a whole series of books available.  In his book bio it is claimed that he is a regular on these boards.  Does anyone have any thing good or bad to say about the McRoberts books?  I ask because so far I've found at least one programming error and a lot of general text typos.  I can forgive this if I hear some good things about the series in general.  Thanks.
2  Using Arduino / Programming Questions / Just starting on: December 07, 2011, 03:11:23 am
I know this is a beginner question because it's about a sketch from a book called Beginning Arduino.  smiley

I type in the sketch for the project 2 SOS and when I compile I get this message:

error: 'x3' was not declared in this scope

with this line:

for (int x=0; x3; x++)

highlighted.

I've typed the code exactly as written in the book but it does not work.  There are so many typos in this book that I am wondering if perhaps the problem is with how the author wrote it rather than with how I'm writing it.

Any help would be appreciated.
