  Well, the problem seems to lie with the adafruit shield itself. I am using arduino v0022 which is what I was told from adafruit. Now it seems my microSD Card that I have isn't being located by the shield. I have a PYN 4GB microSD card, and a Kingtson 8GB microSD Card and neither one seems to work. Of course adafruit tells me to purchase their 2GB microSD Card. So that's where it's left for now. I've downloaded the libraries and am all set there. Thanks for your interest in trying to help me. I find the www.ladyada website very useful.

  I purchased the adafruit shield that has a picture of a tiger.bmp on it. I was told to simply snap on the shield to my Arduino UNO and download the sketch. Simple enough, or so I thought. Now I'm told I need a certain version of Arduino to run the tiger.bmp. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to get the tiger.bmp to appear on the touchscreen? The touch screen is wired to Arduino UNO. Any help would be appreciated.
