Absolute rubbish, this shows a complete misunderstanding of the most basic fundamentals of electricity.

and you call yourself theEngy? nah but have you thought one might be backwards? try hooking them up to 2 separate power cricuts eg. one on your arduino board and the other from an old usb cord with a male end and bare wires, hook the ground from the usb to the ground on your arduino that should be the only change, however i can take no responsibility if your whole house explodes because of this advice
