Adding the code below to the start of the code solved the compile issue!
Code:
#undef int
#undef abs
#undef double
#undef float
#undef round

So the download files should be put in one singel folder named HyperCom in the hardware/libraries area?
Or theyshould be devided in to several folders as LED and TransceiverAsVirtualWire ?
If so could you arrenge so the download content is devided in to correct folders?

Hope they are not to expensive, they are a great product.

Did not know that shield existed, great pricing as well, but!
  • I wish it had a bigger display area as the KS0108 or bigger
  • Would like it connect direct on to the Mega without a shield adapter so it has a thin design and is easy to build in projects.
  • Library for the KS0108 is far more easy and user friendly
Still the ITDB02 looks as a great piece just not suited for my needs.

Well, it could be a shield for the Mega board instead.
An example to what can be done is found in my video:

Maybe one day seeedstudio or somebody else could create a sheild based on the KS0108 LCD including a touch screen on it?
Anything that is already existing or ongoing maybe?

kristof, great that you manged to get it working.
Could you share the code you used with the newsoftserial library?
My code example above was intended to be used without the newsoftseial library.

Yes, it is possible to read a incoming sms and then do something, i did something like that a while ago and could turn on/off lights at home.
Let me share the code for that with you here later today or tomorrow.

Try below code and see if you get a OK back from the phone true the Arduino serial monitor.

Arduino pin 0 and 1 connected to T68i pin 4 and 5 .
Try to switch cables both ways.

Let me know how it goes!

Code:
 char incomingByte;

  void setup() {

  Serial.begin(9600);
  delay(3000);

  }

  void loop() {

      //check connection with phone
      Serial.println("AT");
      delay(3000);

        // read phone reply if available
      if (Serial.available() > 0) {

            incomingByte = Serial.read(), BYTE;

            // say what you got:
            Serial.print("I received: ");
            Serial.println(incomingByte);
      }

  }

Kristof,

Sorry, do not think that K750 will work that easy but the T68i should do so.

I suggest below connection!

Pin 4: Rx
Pin 5: Tx

Sorry do not think it will work, check my first post for modells that i assume will work.

kristof,

No need to set a com port for the Arduino, that is only needed for the computer.
Try to switch the TX/RX pins and remember to use pins 0 and 1 on the Arduino.
You could connect the red+ 5V as well to the Arduino, no problem if it charges the phone.

klaus,

Try using the USB data pins instead as RX/TX, should be the same.
