hi guys, I have an arduino pro with atmega328@3.3V, I am powering the board with a 3.7V lipo battery only, is there a way use this FS5 sensor and get the wind speed ?

3  Using Arduino / Programming Questions / Re: USB Weather Board + RN-XV WiFly Module on: October 31, 2012, 06:45:07 am
well, I have some progrmming skils, I just need some advice, I have the sketch (http://dlnmh9ip6v2uc.cloudfront.net/datasheets/Sensors/Weather/Weather_Board_3_v12.zip) for the board
and was trying to use the https://github.com/harlequin-tech/WiFlyHQ library for wifly module, but after loading the header file from wiflyhq lib and defining the variables for wifi I get something like
Code:
$%^*#@()$@
in consol and then it stops ...

this is the code added to the sketch above
Code:
#include <WiFlyHQ.h>
const char mySSID[] = "myssid";
const char myPassword[] = "my-wpa-password";

hello, can somebody help me with the coding to make the usb weather board from sparkfun (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10586) work with the rn-xv wifly module (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11047) ? thanks

ok guys so I've got this http://www.sparkfun.com/products/11047 module and this http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10586 board and I use this http://pastebin.com/iZhr87Lc sketch, can anybody help me implement the httpserver based on the sketch I have ?

my wireless router use wpa2

thanks

hi, I have the usb weather board from sparkfun and I am trying to get this http://www.sparkfun.com/products/11047 to get it work but after uploading the httpserver example all I get is this:

Code:
Starting
Free memory: 1337
setPrompt failed
Failed to enter command mode
Failed to start wifly
Terminal ready

what am I doing wrong ?smiley-sad

thanks

The XBee hardware interface looks ok, its directly connecting TX and RX to the WiFly at 3.3V.

Those errors indicate that the Library can't talk to the board. Why don't you post the sketch you are using. It might be a simple problem like you're still using software serial when the WiFly is actually connected to the hardware serial interface, or maybe the baud rate doesn't match the rate set in the WiFly module.

hm, i think that my usb weather board is damaged, since yesterday I can't get anything from serial ... so maybe this is why the wifly module is not working ... I will return smiley

hi, I am looking also for measuring the UV index and came acros this site http://www.scitec.uk.com/uvphotodiodes/uv_air_abc.php, do you think that we could connect it to an arduino and read the data ?

it is possible that i need to connect pin2 from lipower to SDA pin on arduino ?
10  Using Arduino / Installation & Troubleshooting / arduino mega 2560 + LiPower Shield on: February 01, 2012, 03:24:00 pm
hello,

 I am new to ardunino world and I want to connect a lipower shield (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10711), I saw that when the mega 2560 will select automaticaly the power supply, so will it use the source from batt when is connected to usb ? will I see stats in console from the lipower shield when usb is connected ?

when I run the sketch i only get Hello World in console, so it looks like the sketch was uploaded

thanks

I will do some research and see which lcd fits best, that DOGXL 160 looks interesting, do you know any shop that ships to Romania ?
12  Using Arduino / Displays / Re: how to chose LCD on: January 25, 2012, 05:11:29 pm
not that large as a laptop screen but something like this http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9560, i had to display some sensor readings but they must be big and have some graphics as the persons who will read this are old and like to see big numbers and graphics instead of putting their glasses smiley

i won't care about fps as i will refresh the data every 5 or 10 seconds
13  Using Arduino / Displays / how to chose LCD on: January 25, 2012, 03:14:28 pm
