This is a Data Logger and Recorder built for trainning purposes using previous experiences with Arduino and Processing.  Still has some minor problems; but I'll leave it like that for now as my time is very limited and I'm kind of tired by now.

Input signal is connected directly (no amplification) to any of the Arduino analog inputs. User can select input channel from the computer screen.

While working in my main Project I found some kool figures could be generated by using the Ellipse Equation with Processing. I posted in the forum tying to get some one motivatted to animate the figures as my time is really limited. Since no one did it I resolved to do it myself.

-Arduino UNO to sample the analog audio signal and send it to the computer via USB.
-Processing 1.5.1.

- Real time signal processing and dispaly. Figures on the computer screen are animated in real time using the audio signal.
- User can select any of the Arduino analog inputs from the computer software.
- Arduino is powered by USB only.
- 23 different figures can be animated (so far). User can select random sequence in which the figures are displayed, a preselected sequence or manual  selection.
- User can select show time (from 0-10 sec) for each figure when in automatic sequence either preselected or random.
- User can select the "speed" at which the figures "dance" (frecuency response of the System).
- Processing code about 900 lines.
- Arduino code about 2KB.
- Communication is bidirectional using numbers only (no strings). Arduino receives orders and sends data. Communication must be fast for real time data acquisition.

Well thanks guys. This is to help a friend and he was going to pay for the boards. I think he is backing off now. Let's see if he says Ok I'll be contacting you. For now I don't think he will.

If the thing is battery powered and you use alluminum you just need to connect your ground to the chassis, like they do in cars. The 2x2 ft dimensions will be Ok with the bords I mentioned and the 10 pounds weight. They can hold more than that if you place them vertically. Like this []

To hold 10 pounds you don't need a 2x4 Chassis. It will add unnecessary weight to the thing an deplete your batteries faster when moving.
Alluminum will be ideal; but probably too expensive. Simple 1/2"x 2''  or 3/4"x2" boards will probably work fine for the frame at a fraction of the weight and cost. You can just reinforce the corner joints with triangular pieces of plywood.

I need a couple of PCBs to interface with Arduino. I don't have the time to learn Eagle and all that so I'll be willing to pay for them to be built for me. I have the schematics and components distribution. I need this done relatively fast
They are not too complicated.
Can anybody here create the Eagle files and the PCB layout and tell me where to send it for construction?
Or does anybody know of a place where they will do it?

If you are trying to control DC already, the SCR is not a good choice. A transistor is what you need.

Hi All:

I have built and tested my Project and is a reality now. It has taken a good 1 year and 3 months of intensive work to complete it. The whole thing is working nicely; but its just a prototype.
Basically is an Arduino connected to a Computer to perform several tasks, move a motor to several positions and sequences, activate several solenoids, activate lights, take pictures, sensing parameters, analyzing the measurements and  give results. Many interlocks, warning messages, on screen keyboard, digital filters, real time graphs, video, logging data an many real time calculations involving many variables and arrays to make the whole thing work. The main program is written in processing and has about 18000 lines of code. The Arduino code is about 10KB. I built everything from scratch including the selection and input boxes to input data and auto search functions. The main computer controls everything  and Arduino controls the outside "world" under main computer commands and sends data back to the computer.
That been said:
I can't complete the Project and make it a reality. Now I need to build the thing for real; but that will require funds I don't have. I can't afford this anymore.The prototype I built already cost me about $2500 plus the amount  of time I put into it.
For example:
-I need to have a PCB built. maybe $300
-I'm using a Sensor that cost me $130; but does not have the accuracy required. The one required costs $750.
-I need the real motor required that's another $60.
-A serious temp/humidity Sensor which is another $150
-Real good solenoids. One of them is like $160
-And the list continues.
I estimate in parts  it will cost about $5K .
Plus several other things like testing, etc.

These are my questions now.
-How can I get sponsorship to finish this thing?. 
-Where do I go?.
-How do I find help to do it?

I concentrated until now in building the thing. Now I have it done which is completetly different from saying "I have this idea" It will be harder to get help with just an idea.

Please let me know any suggestions,

The light meassuring thing can be zeroed at the begining depending on the original color of the liquid. On the other hand the fact that a human can't detect differences it does not necessarily mean the meassuring system can't also. For example CO2 is transparent to humans; but there are CO2 detectors working on that principle outthere. They use a specific infrared wavelenght that's absorbed by CO2 only. I guess the CO2 content of the liquid increases with time as the yeast works. ???. maybe you can monitor CO2 content with such sensor which I belive is used in fire alarms and smoke detector. I think this is not so hard to try compared with other methods suggested like my floaters for example. I would give a simple trial and see what happens. We maybe surprised by the results...
Check densitometers and spectrophotometers.
