Since this is a more of a professional product than the open source arduino, maybe you guys (freescale) come up with some professional-looking enclosures as well.

Or maybe "3-pin JST female".

Mike, you can free some valuable desk space if you replace your CRT monitor with an LCD one smiley
I know that from my own experience smiley

Good thing about moving is that it allows one to clean up and sort through. Unfortunately not all of use move  smiley

embedded systems about the same size as an Arduino 2009, but very, very much more powerful.
Do you mind sharing some details?

so I am at a loss then, how does buying a already soldered board help you learn smd soldering skills ?
You de-solder, then re-solder?
1390  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: SMD soldering practice on: February 14, 2010, 09:16:10 pm
You can practice soldering 1206 SMDs (resistors, leds, capacitors) on a regular protoboard, since the distance between the 1206's pins is 0.1".

You should also consider Sanguino (http://www.moderndevice.com/products/sanguino), with 32 GIO pins (US$27 - 35 plus shipping), or, if you want stuff (RTC, eeprom, Ir receiver, buzzer, SD card) on the board, take a look at my own Duino644 kit (http://timewitharduino.blogspot.com/2009/09/buy-duino644-kit.html), for only US$54 (free shipping).

The cost is not only for the parts. Time and effort spent to design and develop should also be included in the price.

That's a bit pricey for only 7ml!
A cheaper alternative is to use staples.
