Most of the books I have barely touch on LCD/OLED programming.  Can someone please recommend a good how-to book on the subject. Or the LiquidCrystal library.

Thanks-

Get the library appropriate for the LCD you have, and use the examples included therein.

Visit Ralph Banon and Jullian Ilet youtube channels, they show how to use some popular displays starting from the datasheet. I found an ebook on those 16x2 lcd that i'll post here when i get home.

Thanks-  I've read the datasheets and played a bit with the 1602.  Some things like programing binary character bit arrays just aren't clear to me in the datasheets.  Also played with lcd.scrollDisplayLeft/Right, but the results are "jerky" and a bit confusing so looking for better explanations.  I'll check the youtube out.

Run all the examples that come with your TFT / OLED library.

If you have a question,  ask.
e.g. quote which example.   e.g. ask about scroll speed,   smoothness.

Explain what you want to do.    What you expected.  What you got.

David.
