Topic: Slow serial print (Read 482 times) previous topic - next topic

Serial printing has always been very quick, too fast to read if there's no delay, but yesterday I had some weird error where the Arduino IDE froze while uploading a sketch.  Had to force quit the application, restarted and it uploaded just fine.  But ever since then it's been significantly slower.  Using the same codes that would rapidly spew out lines of data via serial monitor now chug out maybe 1 line/sec.  I'm not sure if it's the arduino, program, or my computer; don't really know where to start.

1) review your code if it has indeed not changed. (optional post code here)
2) work from another computer to see if same problem occurs.
3) use another terminal like hyperterminal, putty or whatever your platform suits
4) use a sketch on the Arduino just to check its clockspeed
5) succes!
