I have a SparkFun's latest USB host shield and im not able to make any of the examples work out , The power is coming externally and the mouse is working but the USBHIDBootMouse sketch and other USB_desc sketches also show me just one single prompt that is:

Start
OSC did not start.

I believe it means the Device connected with the USB shield did not start but that is already working as the Mouses light below turns on fine.

any way out?

After putting the RESET on pin#7 and then loading the board_qc sketch it shows NOW the following:


Circuits At Home 2011
USB Host Shield Quality Control Routine
Reading REVISION register... Die revision invalid. Value returned: 00
Unrecoverable error - test halted!!
0x55 pattern is transmitted via SPI
Press RESET to restart test

Again Any Way out?

EDIT UPDATE: I just solved this above issue and got the following(but still some of the Tests are failed?? Why):

Circuits At Home 2011
USB Host Shield Quality Control Routine
Reading REVISION register... Die revision 03
SPI long test. Transfers 1MB of data. Each dot is 64K................ SPI long test passed
GPIO test. Connect GPIN0 to GPOUT7, GPIN1 to GPOUT6, and so on
Test failed. Value written: 00 Value read: FF

Hey Nishant,

Could you tell me how you solved the following portion of the code:

I have already jumpered reset to pin 7.
I am using a mega so I have also changes SS to 53 in Usb.h
