Caveat Emptor - be sure that the devices that you buy are 328P and not just "328".

There was another thread on this, but Mouser's price had dropped since my previous order: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Atmel/ATMEGA328P-PU/?qs=K8BHR703ZXguOQv3sKbWcg%3d%3dPricing (USD) 1: $2.50 10: $2.08 25: $1.95 100: $1.80 EDIT: I see Mouser is now out of stock.

Since I'm Belgian I can't buy from places like Mouser, Digikey or RS. I've ordered electronic parts from Tayda electronics in Thailand a couple of times. They sell the ATmega 328P-PU for 3,5$. That's cheap enough for me

A while back I think there was a shortage of 328's I think, and I got a load of 168's which were much cheaper (and adequate for a lot of projects). That was surface mount though.

They have a Belgian website digikey.be but they only sell to registered companies. You need to provide a VAT number if you want to buy from them.

Mouser has the ATMEGA328-PU in stock. They are out of stock on the low power version ATMEGA328P-PU. They claim to ship to Belgium for 30-40 US dollars and free for orders over $100. 1: $2.06 10: $1.99 25: $1.80 100: $1.70 250: $1.68 500: $1.63
So if you need 56 units (56 * $1.80 = $100.80). You can go into the Arduino Chip business in Belgium.

Note: The Digikey link given is for the non-"P" version. It's tricky . . . ATMEGA328-PU-ND != ATMEGA328P-PU-ND
