Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hello guys I'm new here,

For a school project I need to know my idea is possible or not. I have 5 buttons with 5 different mp3 files to to each button. I want to play track1 when I press button1, track to when I press button2 etc..

Now my question is, is this possible without a mp3 shield?

Thanks in advance.

Spend some time investigating how an mp3 file is constructed. The format is available. Then, look at the processing power required to decode an mp3 file, and you will be able to answer the question yourself (Hint, the answer is no).
