Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hi all,

For a project where space is extremely tight I am looking for some extra small resistors (in the range of 100Ω-150Ω) to limit the current to segments of a led display. It would ideally only have a 0.1" body length, so I can stick the two pins in adjacent holes of a stripboard (with the connection between those holes scratched out). Unfortunately SIL resistor arrays wouldn't work (I think), as I have to lead each resistor to an individual output of a shift register. DIL resistor arrays would be ideal, but those always seem to span three holes, like an IC. Does anyone have an idea?

Would you be able to stand a regular axial resistor on end?
like so:

Try 1206 or 0805 surface mount resistors between adjacent tracks on the solder side?  Or 1/8W through-hole components with one lead folded over?

@ stoopkid: Thanks, I hadn't thought of that yet! Then I would have to be extra careful to prevent adjacent resistors touching each other's wires, but it should be doable.

Should be easy to slip shrink wrap if that becomes an actual issue. I'm sure there's plenty of ways to deal with that.

If they are 0.1" apart that's miles!  Anyhow the resistor bodies prevent much movement if side-by-side.
