The relevant question is: how many of them are there?

For example, you might have 1000 bytes, so you need an int to index them (because the number in a byte only goes up to 255). Or you might have 10 longs, but only need a byte to index them (as it can go up to 10).

In your case, a byte is fine, if you only want to go up to 24.

So ive been stumbling around for a little bit but no luck, is it possible to have an array inside an array? im not sure how to approach it, but i was thinking 3 main arrays, red, green, blue, then inside those arrays are an int array of 12, for the 12 rows, in the int array is 3 bytes, for representing if a red blue or green in a row is on or off. Just writing that makes it seem really complicated... but who knows. what do you guys think? are multiple arrays possible in one another? still need an easy way to address those anodes, im all out of ideas.
