Topic: is this programmer any good for bootloading? (Read 793 times) previous topic - next topic

hi,
after messing about for ages with a blank chip without any success, thought id try this programmer to burn the bootloader really asking if this is any good or is there a better one available?

The USBtinyISP is an excellent choice.

A less expensive choice is the USBASP (£2.87 shipped from Hong Kong).  One downside of the USBASP is that is usually ships with only a 10-pin cable and a 6-pin adapter is needed to work with the 6-pin ISP connector on the Arduino.  Those cost another £1.88 bringing the total to £4.75, still less than the £8.90 of the USBtinyISP.
