I got one of these tiny GPS units.

So I've built a "from scratch" Arduino '328 in a tiny little glider along with an MD50 video camera.

The plan was to drop said glider from a great height and get the Arduino to steer it back.

So I built this monstrosity!

At least I didn't end up doing a "Mexican Hat Dance" on bits of flaming tissue!

Hi,

Brilliant idea, keep us posted with how it turns out.

I need 200 grams of lift!
the glider is pushing it right now!

I'm spending money I don't have, but when the noose is out, ya might as well put your head in it!

Have you tried the XBee 900Mhz @ any kind of distance?

Any ideas on how you make a balun for a yagi?

I tried, mightily, in fact, to add a Yakety Sax soundtrack to that. TubeDubber isn't working, and neither did the BennyHillifier.

@cyberteque, keep at it, cool idea. How is the drop controlled?

the burner is just an aluminium can.
I'm trying ground up match heads with C23, when the alcohol is almost gone the side of the can gets hot enough to ignite the mtach /glue that is holding a simple piece of string.
I get 9 minutes from 60 ml of metho, that should put it fairly high.
If That doesn't work I'll use a .22 round with the projectile removed and replaced with a simple plug.
I have some electric matches, so maybe releasing on a set GPS height might be better.
