I want to build a hot wire foam cutter that will cut an arc through a block of foam.  The wire will be shaped rectangular. The rub is  that the wire must twist as it moves along the arc in order to maintain proportions, as if a rainbow were being cut in the foam.  (In that the distance on the outside of the arc is greater than that on the inside, the twist must occur to maintain proper alignment.)  I have a good idea of the layout of the table.  It will be similar to a plotter, but with an additional motor at the point of contact to twist the wire.  I am looking for someone to identify the appropriate parts and then code the project.
