Hey guys,

Because of no solution was found in my last topic in the French section, I'm coming here to asking you for help !

In fact I'm working on the Mega 2560 rev3 board with a LCD display from Sparkfun (It's a Nokia 5110) and I'm in front of a small problem :

My screen still black when I'm trying to send a characters string.

I have wrote a small program to explain to you what's wrong and maked a movie to show the result :

Code: [Select]
#define PIN_SCE   7
#define PIN_RESET 6
#define PIN_DC    5
#define PIN_SDIN  4
#define PIN_SCLK  3
#define LED       13

#define LCD_C     LOW
#define LCD_D     HIGH

#define LCD_X     84
#define LCD_Y     48
#define LCD_CMD   0

static const byte ASCII[][5] =

I have already tried many differents sources codes (http://code.google.com/p/pcd8544/ ; Arduino Playground ...)
,but all of them has shown : the same result you can see in my movie.

I'm listening for all suggestions and thank you in advance

... what i noticed...
1) There is no level shifter. The PCD8544 expects 3.3 logic. Not sure if the sparkfun has a level shifter
2) Choose a longer reset (20-30 ms)
3) Try some different values for Vop (see also the comments for the product on the sparkfun page)

Also compare with init sequence in u8glib: https://code.google.com/p/u8glib/source/browse/csrc/u8g_dev_pcd8544_84x48.c

Altough it's wrote that the screen has to be connected with a 5V power source, I have put a resistor (3.5kOhm) between the 5V and the Vcc and the LCD perfectly works
