I'm trying to make an mp3 player with arduino. Nothing too fancy,
Just a simple one.

BTW, I wanted to use a simple lcd/led screen(no touch),
an arduino nano, mini or pro mini and some buttons, spinners, etc.

This might be a start - http://www.gravitech.us/mp3pladforar.html

Is that maybe what you want to build http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrMNnSczao8 but it only works with an arduino uno.

In a word you can't. What you can do is use an arduino to control an MP3 player or MP3 chips but the arduino itself can't do MP3.

What about the Sparkfun MP3 player shield? Anyone have experiences with it?

Otzi,

I'm interested.

But there are no "specs" listed.

What Arduino, what shield, and what display?

I can see it is a 16 x 2 display - ok.   But.......  The "Time" (bottom right) doesn't seem to change.

Anyway, hope to hear back.
