Topic: Stepper motor connection to the Arduino (Read 335 times) previous topic - next topic

I liked connect stepper motor to arduino with resistors and transistors, but I dont know how make this. My stepper motor have 5 wires.
Thanks for your help...  ;)

I little more info please, what motor, what voltage, etc.........
Go and buy a stepper motor drive module, much simpler, unless the stepper is very powerful and needs a few Amps to go!

Open your mind! But not too far, your brains might fall out.

If its a low current high-impedance unipolar stepper, then normal way is to drive
with an ULN2803 which can handle upto 0.5A max and has freewheel diodes
built in (absolute requirement).  Google will find circuits/examples no doubt.

5-wire steppers are almost certainly unipolar...
