is the parralax ping sensor the same thing as the onlite hc-sr04 ultrasonic sensor? if so, can you usw the same sketches? if not, how to modify?
i'm referencing the rc car to robot instructable-http://www.instructables.com/id/RC-Car-to-Robot/?ALLSTEPS- i bought all the gizmo's before i realized that the sensors mite be different. i know, i know i'm a ID-10T.
also, i been looking thru the language reference section and some other things,especially this forum, but i'm not finding anything on how to actually put all the keywords,syntax,etc., into a sketch. the different sketches i've looked at to try and reference the the tutorial/forum information all are different,and alot of them for the the exact same operation/sensor. any help with this. i've thought about buying the books, but the reviews say the same stuff can easily be found here.

p.s. is there some other place to look for how to build or modify a sketch for motor operation, and also for mixing it with a sensor operation?

I don't know if the sensors are compatible, but you could just test it.

thanks. thae instructables project is exactly the one i was using as a template! but as it showed the sensor was a 1 wire parallax model. did some checking last nite, i think i'm i'm pretty well scoped for the connection prollem with it- just solder the trig+echo pins together and run the trig pin to the board. trying to work out the sketching now.
looked up the the datasheet fot the hc-sr04 sensor, dosen't say much i gotta say. i understood that from looking up the different supplier sites for which one to buy, just didn't know there was so much involved with the the hardware/programing aspect of these.
