Topic: overloaded digital out port? (Read 340 times) previous topic - next topic

hi, i was running an LED directly from d12 as well as a RC received on a pro mini 5V. Now the VCC is only putting out 2.8V instead of 5V. Have I blownt the voltage reg and d12? Is it repairable? Seems like its also doing some other weird stuff now too.

My guess is if you would have read the documentation it says NOT to connect a LED directly to the pin but through a resistor. Hmm I smell smoke!

It also possible you damaged the IO pin which is ultimately causing the regulator drag down.
