Calling Arduino.
What is the chances that you will bring out an alternative, more Advanced IDE with more debugging capability for more advanced useres who do not want to be hidden from everything vaguely scary to new users?
Now that 1.0 has been released, can the next project be a mashup of the Arduino IDE, with a few of the nice features of Eclipse thrown in...
For instance, the file manager panel, ability to refactor, warnings, ram useage (AVR Studio displays this so it should be easy), ability to use all the avrs that AVRDude knows about without having to add boards to boards.txt - I mean for users who users programmers (ISP MKII etc), Format on Saving, more colours for code words..and Im sure others can think of other nice more advanced features that would add the the Arduino experience.

I am currently using Eclipse, but a) setup is a nightmare to get everything working with Arduino especially with external programmer, and b) I like arduino, but due to the simplicity, I have had to move away from the IDE

Why not just use AVR Studio?

I can't speak for anyone else, but the reason that I can't use it is the lack of OS support:

Supported Operating Systems
• Windows XP (x86) with Service Pack 3 - all editions except Starter Edition
• Windows Vista (x86 & x64) with Service Pack 1 - all editions except Starter Edition
• Windows 7 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2003 (x86 & x64) with Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2003 R2 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64)

When OS X or Linux is supported, I'll have a look.

I am going to second AVR Studio.  It hides nothing, it's has a great editor and since it is Visual Studio it has hooks for source control and any enhancements that VS can take, it has a debugger.

i wish they added scroll bars for stuff that runs off screen
