You have the LED connected to pin 8 but your software says there are only 6 pixels, so try putting 18 here.




Make sure you have wired it up correctly with all three anodes going to the +ve and each cathode going to a seprate output pin.


You said, you connect as pictured below?


You have your SDI and CLK pins reversed.  Pin 13 on the Uno is the clock, not data.  Pin 11 is MOSI (data).
