Hi People,

I know that there's been talk about the Official Arduino Wifi shield in the past - it was announced almost a year ago:

http://arduino.cc/blog/2011/09/20/arduino-is-you/

However I noticed today that the shield has appeared on the Arduino website's /Hardware list. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there a few days ago, which leads me to think that it may be near(er) to being made available.

I for one would love to get my hands on one and I'm sure you guys would to. Does anyone know anything more about it, or is it me just being stupid...

Comments appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

I look forward to it being carried by a US distributor.  Just looked at ordering one, and with shipping to the US it was 128 euros...

Ha, ouch!

Well if it makes you feel any better, postage to the UK is still 25 euros!

70 Euro to ship it to Australia?! No other delivery options. Pfft.

Sparkfun just listed them late last week, but they're already sold out (I think they only had 40 in the first shipment)!

Ah good news - I can get it from our local sparkfun reseller and not get hosed on the postage.
