using a chip that do spi to uart, or using an arduino which do the same job

how do you handle the GPIO ? is there any kernel patch ?

The kernel fully supports GPIO. I am able to control the pins with commands.

Which kernel ? Who is supporting it ? Also, could you provide example about how you could control the GPIO ?

With this information i will try to arrange something useful using my router in order to test it.
