You can mention your company's products when responding to a direct inquiry. For example, if someone asks "Does anyone know of a good stepper controller?" you can mention your company's stepper controller.
The most effective way to advertise is to include a simple small advertisement in your signature and answer questions on the forum. @liudr has a good example
