Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Is there a way to disable the serial port search when you enter the tools menu. I have a number of serial ports on my machine that control different bits of test equipment and access to the Tools Menu is slow.

If I could turn the search off and just use a designated port I could get round this problem.

Search is done by an old code that attempts to open every port (it is  not arduino, is a dll) can you tell me if my fixed version solves your issue?

That works well for me, I can get into the Tools now without the tedious wait.

Thanks
