I want to send some command from iPhone to arduino over a cable. I wonder if I try to use standart iPhone cable and a usb2serial converter  like this: http://www.robotistan.com/USB-Serial-Donusturucu-Karti-USB-2-Serial-Converter,PR-1191.html  does it work???  Thanks

It's unlikely. Both the usb2serial converter and the iPhone are usb client devices. Client devices can't be connected together, one side needs to be a host device. Your best option is probably the Redpark cable (http://www.redpark.com/c2ttl.html). There are also iPhone connector breakout boards, like https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8295.

Then you need to write an iOS app that reads serial input and does something with it.
