I'm working on this project amblone  http://amblone.com/guide

And basically I'm at the point where I'm done, only that for one strip, the red color is not working. I have troubleshooted and troubleshooted and cannot find the problem. I have a total of 3 led strips and the other 2 work perfectly. Here are the conditions

1. When I touched ONLY the lead of the power supply to the positive commons of all the LEDs, the green LED lights faintly on the defective strip while the other two stay unlit. The negative from the power is NOT connected.

The wiring and soldering should not be an issue, is it a possible transistor issue? Because maybe one of the legs got heated for too long? Any advice regarding this would be helpful.

Something is very wrong if you can have the negative side of the power supply unconnected and still get light.

Ok, new update, don't know why that was but that first condition is gone. Basically when everything is on, the red LED is off and I'm just going to resolder my joints again.
