Triggering a photoresistor to on/off (off with light, on without light) is fine.

An LED to sync with a MIDI and pre programmed audio just playing off USB is also fine.


However trying to get a photoresistor to turn on (when dark) an LED that syncs to a midi that also triggers (when dark) is not working out so well.

Using some mario song code I found online through a linux forum (sorry forgot the user's name right now but can mention him later if need be) and trying to work the code with the photo on off code isn't really working out for me.

The code below was trying to have both a light on off and a light sync with the midi, but it doesnt work, no audio, no light on off, just a blinking light to a non audible melody.

Photoresit - ana 0
LED - just need a digi out etc - the code has two, 9 and 13 mentioned, only 13 is triggering, sound is dead, other light doesn't work, photoresist does nothing



One led that syncs (or at least turns on in dark) and getting the photoresist to trigger the midi (when dark) is what I am after


There are other things I am chasing but that is the bare bones of it all.

I have plans to turn the music into a different midi file. Found the midi file online, got a program that turns it into sheet music, just need to turn that sheet music into notes and pitch values.

Any help with the code or calling me out on a crap circuit would be awesome, thanks in advance!

Perhaps because you never read anything from the pin it is connected to.
