Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

My arduino was working fine until I installed Windows 8 (I  know its shit but I wanted to try it). Having done so it has knocked out the driver for the arduino and if I try to reinstall drivers I get an error: 'The third party INF does not contain signature information" contact the manufacturer etc and the only option is to close. I can not find a way round this. It used to be that you could install unsigned/unofficial drivers but with win 8 it seems you cant now.

Anyone having similar problem or any suggestions (apart from going back to win7 which I am very tempted to do!)

Maybe you have an older PC / laptop that can be used as your primary Arduino development station. You might access it with remote desktop.
