hi

I want to start with LIS2DH12 accelerometer programming ,It is not clear for me from where should I

start .  could anyone please tell me what I should do ?

Regards

blimpyway

Not necessarily in this order
1. get an LIS2DH12 and an Arduino
2. google "LIS2DH12 Arduino" and follow all those examples.
3. Read more detailed info on both sensor and arduino usage.

Jusep

I agree with blimpyway. But in the third step I would like to be more specific: Get the accelerometer datasheet and read it.

As you want to program it (and read some data, I suppose), it is mandatory to know:
1) The communication protocol (SPI? I2C?). In case you don't know how they work, make a research.
2) The Register map: which registers you have to write (and which options can be programmed), which registers have the acceleration data.
3) How to implement the communication: physical layer (which pins do you need? Need pullups?): design the schematic of the shield. How to implement the protocol with the arduino?

Good luck!

If the LIS2DH12 route does not pan out, you could have better luck with the ADXL335.
