Just reading in another thread about the SC16IS750 which is basically a I2C or SPI eight bit I/O expander with a serial port including hardware handshaking.

It looks like a near perfect part for a project I'm working on, just wondering if anyone is using it with their Arduino?

I haven't used it so can't help there, all I can say is I have designed it into a couple of things I haven't built yet, it looks like a great chip.

There's a dual version of it as well, SC68C752.
