Would it be possible to use an IMU to track the movement of my hand around a space 2 meters x 2 meters x 20 cm (e.g., a door)?
With which precision?
Does it exist any ready-made library which just outputs (x,y,z) position of the IMU in the space?

I designed this IMU for interfacing with the Arduino: www.jebobrow.com It is fast and stable, it self calibrates, and does all the calculations on board.  It is the fastest, and least expensive one out there.  Its accuracy competes with $1000 units.
