Hello I used to be a big Arduino fanatic in the past and have decided to mess around some more with my arduino Nano.
I had an idea for a very cool project:
Having my arduino nano hooked up to the arduino ping to measure distances in front of the ping sensor.
Of course setting this up is very basic so here is what makes the project special: I would like to plug in a speaker who's volume would change depending on the distance between the ping sensor and the object.
Aside from setting up the ping, I am clueless how to continue with this project so any help is greatly appreciated!

There are motor controlled potentiometers available. They could be used to vary the audio input to the amp.
