Topic: Does any SD modules work better with Due? (Read 141 times) previous topic - next topic

I like my Uno data logger but want more speed.  I notice SD modules do not have a battery.  I'm presuming I need the battery for RTC.  Would the Uno SD shield work (it contains a battery)?   It won't plug into Due, but it could be connected by wire.  Any ideas?

Thanks
Gerry

Hello Gerry,

RTC 'as is' works OK via Wire with Due.
SD also works OK via SPI with Due but you have to use the SPI 3x2 connector as follows:
                              UNO
SCK -------- SCK        D13
MISO ------- DO         D12
MOSI ------- DI          D11
CS --------- pin x       D10

I haven't measure the data transmission rate it should be similar to UNO. Regards
