Have you thought about driving/powering the SD card from a digital output pin.
BTW one solution for powering such 3.3V circuitry that is pretty neat is direct powerfrom a LiFePO4 cell. This lithium chemistry is nominally 3.2V and actually isnicely within the 3.0 to 3.4V voltage range across the whole discharge cycle.
