Might someone be able to point me to a sketch for the Advanced LED Belt Kit that would
run on an UNO using pins 2,3 on a 160 LED strip?

I've tried a number of mods to the existing code but it runs very strangely.

Many thanks,

Carl

If you want help then you make it easy on us if you post a link to the project. Also post the code with the mod you made, say what it does and what you were expecting it to do.

Sorry, should have provided more info.

I tried posting the code I'm trying to get working on my 5m, 160 LED, LPD8806 strip using an UNO but it's
apparently too large, over 9500 characters.

I've been able to get the other examples working fine, including the Belt LED Kit, just no luck with the advanced one.

Very much appreciate any help on it. Have to see if I can trim it down to be able to post.

Thanks,

Carl

Link to WTF an LED belt kit might be.

At the bottom of the reply box is a triangle that says Additional Options, click that and it allows you to attach a file.

Carl,

I have tried to run this program on an UNO. Sorry to say it just doesn't have the capability to run 160 LEDs and the program. I have had 60 odd running but the transitions in the code make it very jumpy. It will run the "led belt kit" sketch but it does start to struggle after about 200 LEDs from memory.

I got around it by using an arduino mega. They are great. But even that struggles with some of the transitions with 402 lpd8806 LEDs hanging off of it.

I hope this helps you out big fella
