Bigger Bigger Smaller Smaller Reset Reset

Hello fellow DIYers!

I want to make a simple GUI with some sliders and checkboxes on the computer that sends a string of data to the arduino via the serial port.I know that sounds pretty easy but the problem is that i haven't used processing before and i need some help... Can someone give me some sample code or something else useful? i thought about using processing and ControlP5 library, but if you think that i could accomplish what i want with some other programming enviroment e.g. VB.Net, i could do it that way.

Many many thanks for your advice!

Bitlash Commander might be worth a look:

https://github.com/billroy/bitlash-commander

It's a GUI toolkit for making web dashboards to control arduino using Bitlash script.  The main example has a control for every arduino pin, and it's easy to customize the controls.
