 SixthSense Botz
“SixthSense Botz” is the India’s 1st vision based robotics workshop designed by team ARK.
The workshop is all about creating a robot that can interface the digital world with the physical world.
People say that, “Vision is the art of seeing the invisible.” But, hey!! Don’t get tensed!! You’ll just be taught to design a robot that need not have to see the invisible, but will be able to sense the obstacle as well as visualize what it is sensing, without using the traditional sensors like IR, ultrasonic, LDR etc, but through the field of IMAGE PROCESSING with it’s rapid evolving tool of MATLAB.
So, Come!!!! “Let us not just stare up the steps but step up the stairs of the next generation robots!!!!”

Applications that will be taught to the participants in the workshop:
 Colour Recognition Application.
 Ball following robot.
 Gesture controlled robot.
 Gesture controlled windows media player.
 Gesture controlled mouse pointer (demo).
Workshop will be conducted for 2 Consecutive days, theory and hands on session (8 hours per day). In the end, the team will organise a small competition, the winner of which will be awarded with certificate of merit and other prizes.
The SixthSense Botz KIT Contains:
Usb Powered circuit board built in popular (AT89c2051)   controller.
 Intex Webcam. (Optional)
 DC geared motors.
ABS polished wheels with metal couplings.
 Castor Wheels.
 General Purpose robotic vehicle chassis.
 Ball for Image Processing. (Optional)
 Usb type-A to type-B cable.

I have attended workshop by Arktech solution. I have a very bad experience. The things taught are all fancy stuff with no indepth understanding. The people who teach are college passouts and have no expertise. The worse thing being the pcb boards provided are of pathetic quality and do not work reliably after the workshop. Similar problems were experienced by other friends of mine. I think people into this workshop business should outsource the pcb jobs to good manufacturers or make good designs themselves.

I recommend people not to waste money and time by getting carried away by fancy stuffs taught. As they have no value in the industry. If it was for hobby or getting started go for DIY kits or make the best use of your college labs.
